We just completed the "Oil Portrait Sketch" workshop at the Emerald Art Center in Springfield, Oregon. What a bunch of talented oil painters! On each of the three days we looked at a diferent way to tackle the portrait as an oil sketch. All artists worked from the same reference photos. Yet each painter brought their own interpretation to the canvas. Even with the occasional bouts of "self-criticisim" everyone pushed ahead to grasp the method and concept of the day. Congratulations to all participants!
